Australia were just way to good in this series apart from that terrible Melbourne test. Funny how England can bat first and score 340 odd and end up losing by an innings and 123 runs.

Yeah we have problems, but they just about need to rebuild their bowling attack. When they've scored runs their bowlers haven't backed it up.

That truly was the difference. The quality of our bowling attack is light years ahead of anything the Poms dished up. England did put together some very good scores with the bat but never took advantage of it.

In 50 years he'll be telling his grandkids about how he averaged over 100 in the 17/18 Ashes in Australia.

He just won't mention that it was with the ball

He will be able to tell them the story about how he got the great Steve Smith out in the 80s on his home patch.

I guess thats something

Consistently excellent series from the Aussies - all 4 bowlers were wonderful, and Smith's playing a different game to everyone else... then the Marshes, Warner, Khawaja all contributed, and Paine was decent...

Bancroft and Hanscomb the only bats not to add much and Bird was poor on a crap deck, but along with Renshaw I reckon at least 2 of them will have devent success

Man, you add Bird, Pattinson (if he can stay healthy) plus Renshaw and it's a solid looking unit
