I'd like to hope they look at Nevill, or a genuine gloveman like Ludemann before Wade. Paine I could handle.

Didn't mind Alistair Cook before this series, but what a negative merkin he is. 2 bowlers on debut and he's pretty much said to both of them from ball 1 "I have no confidence in you" with his negative tactics. Down 4-0, h,ow about at least trying something positive?

Smith, batting beautifully.

George Bailey should be paying attention. Smith was pidgenholed as a one day player and learned to dig in.

Really feel sorry for Monty Panesar in the last test, where Cook preferred to bowl part-timer Root ahead of him. Regardless of whether or not you believe Panesar should've been selected or not, why select a bowler in the first place that you don't intend on using? Plain stupid, and yeah you're blatantly saying to the bowler "I have no confidence in you or your ability".

At 5 for 100 odd surely you concede a few extra runs in the pursuit of a vital wicket? He seems to go in to ODI captaincy mode and tries to contain the batting when there's no over limit lol

I think in both the tests and limited overs squads I'd have Nevill as the keeper, with Doolan in the squad as an emergency backup in the style of Bairstow for England.

100 partnership, England bowling far too short. Had us 5 for 90 odd then decide to bowl short rubbish.
