Head is never going to open. The only time will be second innings going to quick runs....like should have happened last test

There was a reason he opened in the subcontinent. And IMO he should. Much better against pace than spin.

He should never open against a moving ball but on subcontinent roads or goat tracks he's a genuine shout. Esp if you carry two spinners.

I prefer him at 5 taking on the older ball and the bowlers when they are tired. But the idea has been floated. If Konstas keeps his aggressive approach then Head won't be needed at the top at all.

Selectors had it right looking at Green at 4 to protect Head. I'd look at Labs to open when Khawaja goes. It's just easier finding a 6 than it is to find an opener right now.

Green is really special. I wouldn't care if he gave up bowling
