Eels
The Eels' new spine has taken shape through the trials with Dylan Brown to partner Mitch Moses in the halves and Reed Mahoney the number one hooker at the club after Kaysa Pritchard was granted time away from the game. A knee injury to Manu Ma'u is a huge blow and will put him out until about round six, but is alleviated slightly by the strong trial form of Shaun Lane and Marata Niukore. Jaeman Salmon (disciplinary) is available from round two and will push for a centre or utility spot.
  1. Clint Gutherson
  2. George Jennings
  3. Michael Jennings
  4. Brad Takairangi
  5. Blake Ferguson
  6. Dylan Brown
  7. Mitch Moses
  8. Daniel Alvaro
  9. Reed Mahoney
  10. Junior Paulo
  11. Shaun Lane
  12. Marata Niukore
  13. Nathan Brown
Interchange:

  2. Tim Mannah
  3. Peni Terepo

One of you blokes should dress up in a Panthers uniform and film yourself f**king a (consenting) goat and plaster it all over the internet. Perhaps change into a different numbered jersey several times during the video so heaps of them get suspended.

Nobody.

Why must you jump on every post that's remotely critical?

Smith is an ok backup in the halves or at fullback, backup being "third or fourth string". He's a gash hooker.
Wasn't jumping at anyone. If true that Kaysa is done, we need to sign a hooker pronto.

Mahoney can or cant play 80? Thats the question. The other is do we have an advantage having an extra forward on bench? If it means just replacing a guy for sake of it then having W.Smith on the bench isn't a terrible option.
Lets say we want to give the middle
Mannah, jnr,Alvaro, Terepo all 40 each.
While Brown,Tepai and Lane 65 that means Nikuore gets 45mins....
If we threw Kafusi or Evans on bench it means others have less mins. If anything it may weaken the side so why not carry W.Smith.
He can cover 1,3,4,6,7,9.
