which kinda makes you wonder why we had so much trouble getting a team each week. ah well, recruitment and retention bites even in the sevens ;-)

I think it was because we became part time players but no solidarity at the time we fell apart.

You guys going to try and resurrect the dual premiers next year?

So much history and experience to offer... and rumour has it that the openings are there in 2007.

As much as I'd like to see Mort stay a Bluebag, I think the F7s will be stronger with you guys there.

it'd be intersting if we could get Morticia, Roosterboy60, Bubbles, melon, myself and a couple of others to rejoin..but we'd need at least 10 I would say

our problem last year was the ship was rudderless. unless someones willing to put in as captain, we dont have a chance. while i'd love to run out in red, white and blue again, the offer would have to be pretty secure in terms of the team getting five posts in each week. last year was just embarrassing. i cant commit more than part time until may / june next year when my studies are over and i'm thinking of nipping off to alaska for a bit of salmon fishing, mushing and freezing my arse off for six months working holiday. either there or back to saudi to earn some dollars and i'm not sure either place would be inspiring of high league contact artcles

with a combo of you, melon and bubbles the other two would only have to turn up such is the quality of you guys artcles.

Sounds like you guys are ready to grab the tiller? :D

you sound so keen to get rid of me :p as i said, there'd have to be a committed team for me to hand over my newtown kit. and i'm still only a part timer.

feeding into my egocentrism, why does it feel so good? ;-) i guess we start talking when oz gets back from overseas and see what happens and see if we can get him a suitable 2ic and a band of merry men and women willing to give up their lives for the sevens

i think we had a pretty rough year of it last year and lost a fair bit of fire in the old belly for the sevens. i know i was grateful when you answered my sos's last year and unretired at my begging. i've never begged in my life before. BP wouldve been smiling. i'm not sure we've got the same commitment happening of years past and all seem to have slotted nicely into other teams. as i said, bit like the roosters of the last few years.

FYI anyone who may be interested, would love to pull on the red, white and blue again. Have loved playing for the Eels team this year, but my heart is where my heart is!!

'Twould be great if Easts could pull a "Lazarus" (in the 7's and on the field), so keep us posted with any progress. Just don't tease, after all, nobody likes a coq tease...

wouldnt mind donning the red white and blue next year. With studies this year, its been hard to commit to anything - especially now im on prac. But with holidays coming up soon, and months on end with no footy - i'd be keen ;-)

the season is nearly over roosters 06. are you still studying next year? and if so, what sort of player would you want to be?(we all say part timers ;-) )

yeah, i will be studying again next year, but i wont have prac in the first semester - like i do now.

I'd pretty much be available for 2 out of every 3 rounds i'd say.

have a look at the thread - I have just started it and am happy to take over No 1 position again this year as at the moment everything is sweet. I'll whack your name in Roostergirl
