The 2005 Heineken Cup finalists Stade Francais Paris and Toulouse will play in front of 80,000 fans at Stade de France, Paris in the French Top 14 Championship this month. Stade Francais, who played their 2005 Heineken Cup quarter-final and semi-final at the 44,000 capacity Parc des Princes, have secured the 80,000 capacity Stade de France for their much anticipated rematch with Heineken Cup champions Toulouse. The game is an 80,000 sell-out with ten days to go to kick-off on Saturday, 15 October.
When the teams met in Murrayfield for last seasons European finale the match was tied 12-12 after normal time, but a penalty from Frederic Michalak and a fine drop goal in extra-time deprived Stade of their first Heineken Cup, having already lost in the 2001 final to Leicester.
Heineken Cup champions Toulouse will kick-off their European title defense with the visit of Llanelli Scarlets to Saturday, 21 October while Stade Francaiss European campaign will begin at the Ospreys New Stadium on Sunday, 22 October.
Great Stuff from the French Top 14 Clubs .
