What is the right combo of old and new talent for this comp?

Would you risk Barba? Certainly a positive way to kick off 2015 by giving our younger talent a run with some of the more experienced players...

I think we could go ok with the likes of Nu Brown, Holmes, Gagan all with some NRL experience.. I'd play Wade Graham as our captain, save Gal for Rd 1.

No big name players after the way we started last year with 8 first choice players on the injured bench

I wouldn't risk anyone that is integral to the team. Barba will probably make the all stars team right? That's not long after the 9's so he shouldn't play both.

what kind of make up do the teams have on the field?

i wouldnt play Gallen, Fifita, Ennis, Graham, Lewis, Barba, Robbo, Beale basically anyone of key importance to flannos potential 27-0competition heavyweights.

id go with a team like this

Nathan Gardner
Sammy Salami
Ricky Leutelle
JackBird
Valentine Homes
Fa Ma Nu
Kyle Stanley
Tagatese
Bakuya
Heighno
Jets guy
Roqica

etc

All Stars

well.
indigenous players we are looking at Feefs and Benji Barba

i wouldnt have thought Gal would be voted by the australian public who hates dwug cheats boo hoo
so i dont even know who we would get picked in that.

I reckon it's about time some of you blokes got off your high horses and took one for the club!

My 9's team as follows:

Coastal Shark
Uncle Sad
Quigs
Carch
RCB
BBB
Cardy
Chewy
Ghoti
Feej
Popper
Webby
Messiah

Coach Frenzy.

The rest of you blokes will be drafted one at a time as the inevitable injuries happen.
Unlimited interchange. sleeves are optional.

Except Uncle Sad, If anyone should talk to the media it should be that guy!

Should definitely favour the players on the edge of the squad with a star or two and a couple sacrificial lambs to play every minute

Fringeys (play most minutes most games):
Holmes
Gagan
Brown
Bird
Deitz
Clarke
Saulima
Roquia

Full-timers (interchanged quickly, on to cause some damage and disappear):
Graham
Bukuya
Tagataese
Barba
Leutele
Feki

Lambs (80 minutes, take it for the team):
Gardner
Ayshford
Prior
Stanley

Just enough profile to do the job for the competition, gives some young guys a chance to get used to a crowd and hit some big merkins, possibility to sneak into the finals...

Sounds about right Ghoti, I'd throw Murphy in there as well..

Backs: Holmes, Gardner, Gagan, Saulina, K Stanely, Leutele, Bird, Beale? Ashyford

Halves: Barba?, Nu Brown, Murphy

Forwards: Arona, D Fifita, Prior, Jnr Roquiri, Houma, Graham, Taga, Bukuya? or Tupo

How far off is Addo-Carr?

If we really wanted to win

Ben Barba, Valentine Holmes, Fa'amanu Brown, Sosia Feki, Jacob Gagan, Wade Graham, Andrew Fifita, Luke Lewis, Jack Bird

Too much risk though.

I reckon it's a good opportunity to give some guys some confidence and profile... would be valuable for Holmes, Brown, Bird especially and even Barba could use a couple of breaks and a crack at ballplaying in space to make him feel like a topliner again. I think it's a good tournament for getting some positivity going in camp, much more useful from a morale perspective than a trial in front of 3000 imo

You are all aware that there are requirements that certain amount of your top 5 / top 15 / top 25 players have to partake right?

That's the whole point of this competition so that it doesn't fade out like the 7's did when every nuffie at the club got a run.

We will field a relatively strong side just like we did last year with some major players in attendance, of this I am 100% sure as it is a requirement to have a select number of your top talent playing.

It worth winning. Would help us attract a major sponsor. Could have won it last year but lost Gallen and Carney in first game.

We'd give a red hot go. Ambos would need to be on standby with plenty of oxygen. BTR could arrange sponsorship.
