A conspiracy theory thats adding up.

When smithy signed that contract in 2001 part of his clause was that he would have full control in the signing and retention of players without any outside influence by the board or management.

Basically means no matter how much you love or loath Fitzy he has no say in that area what so ever, admittedly I don't know what Greg Mitchell or Tony Zappia do in the football office but I'm sure they also don't have a say as well.

Now, we all know Hadley and Fitzy are best of mates and have been for years, the more I think about the more I suspect that both of them have schemed up a cunning plan to have Hadley hammer home an anti Smith agenda in the media getting his mates involved such as Peters, which will eventually see him as he puts it. "fall on his own sword"

the obvious benefit to Fitzy and the football club is that it will save them a payout fee of approx 500K.

a " cunning scheme" which may or may not work however if this keeps up longer than this year, Our crowds will drop, season ticket holders won't renew, players won't come to our club, sponsers will be asking many questions and worse for Fitzy! he'll have more to worry about than just the poker tax.

or else brace yourselves for atleast another 2 years of sheer misery.

YOU could be right i mean how did ray get hold of that letter it must have come from fitz also that letter was read out at the last supporters meeting so its been going around for a while now anyway i would not release lypon to any other nrl club no bloody way!!!!!!!!

Think about it!

Fitzy reportidly gats the letter on Thursday, shows Smith yesterday, being saturday, Hadley is on the radio yesterday saying he has proof blah!! blah!! and I'll present it later on. He then says I'll present it tomorrow.

It wouldn't make sence for Hadley to come up with the evidence before Fitzy showed Smith the letter!! it's just not ethical, Fitzy calls Bolts and says hold off until tomorrow. ;-)

Well I suspect the "I'll give you proof tomorrow" business is ALL about the Sunday Telegraph wanting to run the story first and sell as many papers as possible before Ray says anything.

The only thing that may make this issue a bit foggy for me, is that Hadley is invloved.

He had other agendas againts Fitzy.

I hope it all gets proved or disproved very soon.

We've all been saying, we want to hear what Jamie says, now it sounds like he wants to speak.

What's the "that letter was read out at the last supporters meeting"? ....there is a letter from Jamie to the club that says he left cos of Smithy and it was read out at a meeting? yet the first that is mentioned of it is today?

Why would Fitzgerald tell Hadley of this letter? I know they are mates but Fitzgerald is aware of the fact that Hadley is campaiging to get rid of Smith, I highly doubt he would have told anything of the sort to Hadley. Seems sus to me.

So what if there is a letter, this letter can only reflect poorly on Lyon, Fitz and Hadley. I am not a Smith fan but you have to be faif to the bloke if they want him out release him and pay out his contract. I think that if a letter exists Manly through Cleal would have had a copy of it and provided same to Hadley rather than Fitz.

In any event what can the letter say, that Lyon beleives Smithy was responsible for 9/11 and had links with terrorists. So what if he dosen't like his coaching style.

The only thing you can fault the guy for is being to clinical at times, why don't parramatta hire a motivator and be done with it.
