you may or may not be aware the Newtown Jets a foundation club, have been fielding a premier league side over the last few seasons have decided to join forces with Cronulla to represent them as their premier league side for next season. the conditions are as follows.

1] They are still called the Newtown Jets.

2] they still play some of their home games at Henson and also play as curton raisers to sharks first grade matches.

3] they where the sharks emblem on their jerseys.

4] they also share the cost in running the premier league side. I could be wrong but it may be half the cost.

Now my question to you, if Parramatta were to join forces with North Sydney under the same conditions would you accept it??...just remember this only applies to Premier league not Flegg, Ball and Mathews.

No - don't go near any kind of partnerships - they all end up failing because of struggles for power.

Even just a PL partnership would spell trouble I reckon.

I think our club has enough $s to run a PL side without any others involved.

I agree totally with Strider........partnerships are trouble, both politically and financially......as well as mentally.
Steer clear Parra of Eelevation's hypothetical. ;-)

No, because we don't need to. Cronulla needed to, because they're short of cash as a club.

It's a good deal for Newtown, as it gives them a legitimate link role to the top grade competition. A Parra-Norths arrangement would be good for Norths for that same reason. But they need to find a club that actually needs Norths to fill that role - one also short of cash. Maybe Melbourne? Or a deal with a team that doesn't play Premier League like the Warriors?

I've heard that Norths will indeed align themselves with a current NRL club as of next year but I'm not sure which club it might be.

Should align themselves with Melbourne - "The club most likely to relocate"

i think we take our junior levels so seriously, we would have trouble accepting this

Surely it would be one of the clubs that doesn't have a team in Premmies - Melbourne, North Queensland, Broncos, Warriors?
