FFA has obviously given orders to the refs to make life as hard as possible for the Fury.

Obvious penalty for all to see.

Mariners pulling shirts all day and not a single card.

Definately was a penalty. This ref turned down a 100 per cent penalty claim for the jets earlier in season as well....he just won't give them

The Fury keeper was after him too.

No surprise I don't think it was as clear-cut of a penalty as some are suggesting. Intent is an element surely, and Ryan was very clearly going for the ball, which changed course in front of his hands off Williams' feet, who at the time Ryan contacted him, had already lost control of the ball.

JMO.

If similar contact was made on a goal keeper it would have been a free kick.

Keepers are protected way too much and get away with too much in terms of penalty box challenges IMO

Disgusting refereeing. Cornthwaite easily could have got a red there, and as soon as Reinaldo protested he was shown the card. Can't believe the commentators are calling it stupidity by Reinaldo. It's stupidity by the ref. He didn't even realise Reinaldo was already on a yellow. And he showed that yellow as soon as Reinaldo approached him, he was just trying to show his authority without realising the impact that a yellow for such an innocuous incident could have on the game. Terrible, terrible reffing.

Reinaldo should have kept his mouth shut. There's no two ways about it. He got two cards for two things that were completely in his control and very avoidable. Amazes me that players still continue to take their shirts off after scoring a goal when they know they'll get carded and also when they give the ref a gob full. Breeze is a merkin of the highest order, but Reinaldo's red card was easily avoidable ...

But the Roar are the best team in the comp to watch, bar none.

Intent has nothing to do with a foul inside the box unless we are talking hand ball.

It was a penalty. Clear as day.

Williams rounded the keeper and was taken down.
