Two more draws, 3-3 WPHX/GCU, 1-1 NEW/MHT

Nice work from Ben Kantarovski (Jets defender) to score Melbourne Hearts first ever goal

watched the nix and GCU at the pub, considering the conditions it was played in I thought it was a pretty good game

Even though there has only been one victory this season the amount of goals being scored is great.

Another 3 all draw in atrocious conditions!

There's only been one Victory in all six seasons of the A-League... :sarcasm:

f**king oath!!!

They were excellent!!! Well, from my unknowledgeable point of view, I don't know a hell of a lot about soccer but it was enjoyable to be at the game.

there was only about 5500 up here but I think we will be up towards the 8k-9k next home game or maybe more if they keep playing like that. I think the cowboys game that was on the telly at the same time probably cost them a little bit at the turnstiles, tbh even me who is hardcore cowboys is over their sh*t,I've never attended another sporting event whilst there has been a cowboys game on in 16 years, this is the first time and after watching the replay of their game, I'm glad I missed it, the merkins are dead to me at the moment.

I was also at the game Beave.

Was terrific atmosphere and seemed louder then 5100.

I can imagine all 5000 will be back and will try and bring a friend as well! I brought a mate along to try and convert him, he might come to the next game as well. I explained to him that he is allowed to enjoy more then one sport.

I think the crowds will grow, did you see Strake going nuts at the end with the boys??? So much passion, so good to see.

yeah, was awesome to see. Straka looks like he is enjoying it up here, hopefully they can keep this up.

That was my first game in the F troop, had a ball, though I didn't know a lot of the songs but after a while I got the hang of them. I think it's good to be able to follow a couple of sports, the cowboys and league will always be my #1 but at least having something to follow in the off season makes it go quicker!!!!!

where did you sit JC?

It's a shame at the state the Cowboys are in at the moment, and yeah I thought them playing at the same time might have kept some people away from the game. But I hope people in Townsville don't view the two teams as competitors and find a reason to side with one over the other, most of the A-League season takes place while the NRL is in off-season.

Townsville's got it pretty good for a city of its size sportingwise; football teams to support just about twelve months of the year, a basketball team.

I was in bay 120 eastern concourse.

Pretty much on the 40 metre line of where all the goals were scored for the Fury in the second row.

Will be back next game again for sure. Fantastic match to start the home season. I think the 5.15pm time is a killer, a lot of kids playing sport and people still working then.

Townsville love a winner, a good showing next week and the crowd will get a lot bigger.

yeah I don't see the 2 as competitors at all. I think we need to embrace Soccer to be honest, the only way DFS will get upgraded is if it's tenanted all year around. I can't stand playing soccer personally, but I love watching it being played by people who know what they are doing, the skillset is totally different to league.

Anyone see that Mcflynn twat get fouled, then while he was lying on the ground like an assclown, notices he is just outside the box and turns his body so it looked like he was fouled inside it?? cheeky merkin.

8k at the Mariners today, decent as I was only expecting about 4 or 5k given our terrible previous season.

Absolutely robbed f**king blind at the end too, a clear handball completely missed by all the men in blue, but eight thousand others saw it clearly... go figure.

A draw is still good and we stay equal top, hope we can press on and put one past Wellington next weekend.
