Now why the f**k wouldnt he put Tuamata on the bench ? If ever he was going to be given a chance now would be as good a time as any, especially against his old club.

Meaney has been a standout for Bret this season, but Iam with you what a perfect chance to give Tuamata a go in top company. Although do really expect Meaney to get more than a couple of minutes game time.

Thats what i mean, he'll get FA game time so he could have picked sauce... When Benji first started i bet there were more stable and consistant performers around but he had class that needed to be tested at the top level around top players and the rest is history, do u ever see Meaney being more than a solid player or will a run in the NRL make a superstar out of him ? Id pick sauce in this occasion , but ill ask those ppl that have watched them more..... Who would they pick. ?

AJ for sure.

Not that Meaney isn't good, I think he's a great FB, it's just Taumata has the X-Factor and is definitely a good bet against his former club.

Starting fullback you would pick Meaney 100% no questions asked.

From the bench Taumata makes sense as he has been involved in the team structures and training all year whereas Meaney has not.

Meaney has got unlucky in regard to his NRL debut not being earlier. He was the preffered backup to Brett Stewart but left the club for the season where his legal and injury woes began

Wests Tigers winger Daniel Fitzhenry has been ruled out of tonight's round 13 clash against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium.
Fitzhenry has a hamstring injury and his loss is a blow to the team after some good performances in recent weeks.
Balmain Ryde Eastwood Tigers full-back Sean Meaney has been called into the team to make his NRL debut after being in fine form in the NSW Cup.
Mitch Brown will move off the interchange bench to start the game with Coach Tim Sheens to determine which position he will play.
Meaney will come off the interchange bench. He will become the 137th player to make his NRL debut for Wests Tigers.

I dont get why Shines is shifting everyone around. Fitzy has been playing fullback so leave Ryan on the wing, Brown on the bench & start Meaney at fullback. Thats common sense isnt it?

Teflon has never been one for the simple. Why make it a simple replacement when you can absolutely bamboozle everyone with muscial chairs?

I've no probs though with Ryan returning to FB and Brown to wing though. As to Meaney vs Taumata for the interchange dunno- maybe Teflon is eyeing off FB options for 2011 as backup to McKinnon? Makes sense especially if the rumour of Ryan's departure to RU Rebels in Melbourne has substance. Then again I'd love to see Taumata get a run at some stage this year.
