A New Jersey?

i know this topic had a big disscussion on it in the old official forum and i was just wondering if ppl had anymore updates on the new (or if) we are getting a new design to the jersey.

We are, definitely getting at least one new strip and all that's known about it so far is that it has more black than usual. That's unless anyone has hear anything different since the GF luncheon.

Oh and a new logo too I believe.

Complete speculation, but I presume the new logo will be somewhat more fearsome than that feeble thing we have currently.

I heard somewhere that the sharks were looking to go retro with there jersey. Don't know if it's true.

Also the logo is being changed to incoporate the cronulla name back into it.

I'm not too sure on the need for a new jersey? Especially if it incorporates more black in it as speculated? Ergh.

But our weak Dallas Cowboys inpersonation of a logo, I'd be glad to see go, any day!

the new logo with the word cronulla is probably just that one with the black oval above sharks

i like the current jersey, i wouldnt mind the away being the retro jersey but i guess its not predominantly white is it

I went up to my favourite Sports store - Sportzone in Engadine to see Steve this afternoon - I was hoping to see a sneak preview but he told me the catalogue wasn't even released yet.

He has however seen and had the jersey in his hands as the rep from Puma or whatever he told me, was out at his store last Monday.

a) There is definitely a little more black in the design and it's still the aqua blue

b) actual changes to the design are in Steve's words "subtle".

c) the new logo is in Steve's opinion 200% better with a toothy shark.

d) closest release date he could give was "before Xmas"

That's all I could find out today

i hope its not so fearsome that the logo becomes to flashy and crowed, kinda like the Tigers one it make it look tacky

If it was up to me i would keep the jersey as it is. However the logo is a bit unco looking and its hard to draw. I recon a mean looking shark would benifit the whole team. maybee we might win more games next year if we have a mean looking shark dude.

I personally wish that they'd go back to the old style jersey. The one they played in last year for their 35th anniversary game (against the Dragons I think). Just made the guys look bigger. Chuck in a more fearsome logo and that would do for me.

But if Sludge reckons the change is only subtle, it looks like it will be very much like the current one.

It was against the bunnies. I love that one too, they should have that as their home jersey and whatever they want as the away.

Our current jersey was good when it first hit the field. It was different and unique. These days, almost every team is trying to mix up design and colour schemes, except most other uniforms are being complemented with results. Ours is....bah no need to get into that in this thread.

Anyways, bring on the new logo already! Looking forward to it
