A plea from a player...

....and I'm sure other players will feel this way...

Stop the childish fighting

I saw the F7's run here last year, and the RLeague one. The difference between the two, is that the LU one did NOT have childish fighting, whilst the RLeague one did, and have we all noticed what has happened to that competition? It dissolved...

I thought I'd give this a go this year, and so far it has been moderately good except for a few incidents. Every thread that I seem to read whereas Robster and Parramatt have posted, there has been an argument that has had no basis.

For example, I read the ROTW thread, and Robster has indicated interest... Because of this Matt, you decided to say you and other players would refuse to play if he was selected.
Sportsmanship
Disruption to the competition
This is perhaps the most important section of the rules and all forummers are asked to read this section carefully.

Management takes a dim view of any participant or non-participant who shows a lack of sportsmanship. The same applies to anyone who through actions or words, damages the reputation of the Forum Sevens.

This especially applies to post-match comments and it also applies to questioning the referee decisions in open forum.

Should there be excessive disruption from a participant or non-participant, anyone from F7s management may request the assistance of a site administrator.

Penalties for anti-sporting behaviour can range from points being deducted to match suspensions; and possible expulsion from the competition.

Anyone who has access to the management forum has EVERY RIGHT to report both of you for breaking this rule. I constantly read threads where you both fire each other up and for no reason start abusing!

The forum has a really good feature, it's called the IGNORE button. This way you don't have to read each others posts, because if you don't stop soon you'll find everyone will have YOU TWO on ignore...

I really like the F7's and it really is a great concept, but not when there are people who are bickering for no reason, and going to boycott matches. It is just plain stupid. You're both probably older than me, and are senior players! Yet, you think its professional to fight with each other and look like complete fools.

I'm not in any authority here, it's just a plea. You can take it how you wish... But I'll recommend to anyone who has access to the management forum to report you both if you don't start growing up... I don't want this competition to turn into the RLeague one. Either stay out of each others ways, learn to get along, or use ignore... it's as simple as that.

Well said [furrycat]. I dumped their last argument into The Fight Club forum - that's where it belongs imo.
As you say, they have the ignore button at their disposal and both have been told this before. But they seem fairly obsessed with each other. The fact is, that they both choose not to use the ignore button.
For the record, I totally support your sentiments.

Willow mate, i'm staying away from Matt, he's always the start of the argument just like in the ROTW thread, please don't bring me into the swimming pool that he is swimming in.

Thanks. The image is now burnt onto my brain. I could have done without that.
