Guys and Girls, some of you may recall me from the forums some years ago. Ive been a bit sidetracked, travelling around the World and the like. Its been so long it took me a while to work out how to post a thread! Ive always looked into this forum from time to time though. I lost my energy with Smith staying on well past his use by date. Always thought Hagan was a ridiculously impulsive decision from the Club and we only went backwards. However, at the start of this year I was very excited when we appointed Daniel Anderson to the top job. What has gone wrong so far hey??
Some quick observations Id like to add
* First and foremost Im in no way a Brett Finch fan and at the time I couldnt believe that we ever bought him when we had a perfectly good similar player in Tim Smith. Obviously it turned out a lucky buy for a while, but the Smith/Finch combination was the most diabolical Ive ever seen! Having said that I find the whole saga utter stupidity to release him immediately, with no real back-up plan and we still have to pay him for the whole year! Whats the story with that?? Robson is not a first grade player, Ive never seen the guys in the 20s, so can only take others words that theyre not ready and Kris Keating can scoot and run like a rabbit at the greyhounds, but he has only a mildly better passing game than Daniel Wagon. If people here are banking on either Keating brother being good enough to play in the key positions of 6,7 or 9 in a Premiership winning team then it will be a disappointing decade ahead for us Parra fans ..
* To state the bleeding obvious .Cayless is past it! He has been a great player for the Club and its a shame that in his 10 seasons as Captain of the Club that he couldnt have lead the team to a Premiership. He contributes heavily to our slow play the balls and resulting non-existant go forward.
* The lack of organising ball players, coupled with slow play the balls and no go-forward, I cant believe that people expect Inu, Ben Smith, Hayne (or anyone else playing Centre) to look anything but pathetic .
* Mateo taking forward hit-ups inside of out 40 is perhaps the dumbest use of a quality ball player I have ever witnessed. Im one of Mateos biggest fans and think he is just magic. But to me he seems a lazy player at times and his energy should be just saved for the try making part of the field.
Anyway, on a positive note, its good to be back .hopefully make a few more posts. Realistically the only way to go is forward and I look forward to better days soon. To once again state the obvious, I think Anderson has a plan to clean out the players he no longer thinks can do the job and will be purchasing new ones
