Tonight quite possibly marks the end of the career of the great (well according to his newcastle mates on 9) ben merkinedy. Wingers, halves and 5/8s the NRL over will no longer be confronted with the man mountain steaming in on them between the sideline and the 10m line.
Still, I wish Ben all the best this summer as he heads down to North Narrabeen beach and runs amok against the 11 year olds playing beach footy. He's a cat and not 1/10th a lock the players of yesteryear like Price, Pearce, Clyde etc were
