The Time has come. Blokes like Sattler, Senter, Oniell, Moodie, Mears, Buettner are not going to be around next year and the finals race is over, dead and buried. I havent had a problem with the selections so far as up to 3 weeks ago we were coming 6th and Sheens looked to keep faith with the players that had got the team in the position they were in. Unfortunetly they have not repaid him and the time for action is now.

Darren Senter and Mark Oneill try their guts out and i love them, Tigers through and through but will it benefit the club in the long run and the development of younger players ( Farah, harrision, Fulton) if these guys simply play out the year.

I know this wont happen and maybe i am going over the top but maybe these guys should go out on their home ground next week at Leichhardt and not forced into playing reserves or holding up the yougsters cause their finals dream is over.

Sattler has already said he will retire. He is clearly running on tired legs and he looked bloody frustrated today, i think he is counting the days till the end.

Tough decisions need to be made. The Aussie cricket team is so good because they dont simply let players go on for the loyalty sake ( Healy denied finishing his career in front of home crowd, beven cut from one day side)

Sheens talked about 2005 as being the big year, the year the youngsters take over and take charge. Well they are not simply going to walk on next year with no games under their belt and shine.

What do you reckon guys??

I know our finals chances are really dead and buried.
But while theres any slight hope, I would not make a world of changes.
Maybe in a month when the side is 100% dead and buried would I implement that tactic.

the aussie cricket team went back to the basics in the 90's and that is what the tigers need to do as well.
you could have made all those changes and we still would have lost.

the test for sheens is if he can get this team to win the time in possession game.
you don't need big tackle busting yardage eaters to do this.

90% of games won are by winning the possession game, even when the tigers get that right we look amazing, and so do the bunnies, eels and manly.

look at our last 2 months and you see we had to defend for an extra 11 sets against manly,20 against the raiders,22 sets against the roosters,10 sets against the dragons and 7 against the storm.

but our wins over the warriors & eels we were perfect for the first half hour and the points flowed without us having to call on the big young current & future stars of the game.
even the raiders win we had to defend less and against the dogs we lost the possession battle in the kicking game, but still won becuase of good ball control.

what is really pissing me off is the careless play from our backs,in every game the backs are makeing way to many errors in our own half from simple running plays.wether it is rucking it out after a kick or making a break, once tackled we are a 50/50 chance of retaining possession, and that is not all the forwards fault.

right now we could buy 2 of the best forwards and they would have no impact because we can't get past the first or second tackle.
you can't win the forward battle if you don't have the ball.

sheens needs to just concentrate on ball control and kicking, and when we can finally get this right,we can then look to expand our game to top 4 level.

because all you need to do to get in the top 8 is hold the pill longer than your opponent.
