A wasted season

This should have been the season of preparing Michael Witt, instead he languished in premier league. This season would have toughened him.

Now we head into another season without a rudder on our ship.

I know he hasn't been in the greatest of form and there was the incident where he tried to walk earlier in the year, but he should have been given every opportunity to develop.

I fear that despite all the big name buys we'll still struggle next year. Then Hindy will start thinking about his options. He deserves to win a premiership.

When Hindy leaves it will be the lowest point the eels have seen in many years.......i never thought that the mighty eels would be on such a spiral downwards and things dont look like changing.
This year had been very depressing.
Ive been saying the words 'next year' for too dam long and im sick of it!!

Ronnie: two days ago you were saying that Witt shouldn't be in 1st grade now your bagging Smith for not playing Witt in 1st grade.

Make up your mind boy

Let's get over this negative drivel. I agree, it probably has been a wasted season but really what is the point in making a billion posts criticizing Brian Smith and his methods. Witt is at halfback this week at least, let's at least be happy at that.

yeh what's all this negative feedback. The season hasn't even begun. Shut your mouths and wait until after Round 1 before you start any negative feedback.

I have never said this before but I can't wait for the off season. I think we all need a break from this horrid season.

Who said what i said was in regards to Witt??, i don't wan't him in our side nor our club, he's a dud, sorry, hope he proves me wrong.

I reckon Webster is a better option, atleast he has options & variety.

Webster is gun off the bench. We go poorly when we dont have impact off the bench. His a little machine as well.

Look at Witt this year i know he hasnt held the 7 jersey for more thana couples games straight but he needs to use these opportunities to his advantage. Look at head he has taken his opportunity and now is bweating Firman to his 7 spot. It all comes down to game day and if Wigtt porves us wrong. I hope he does.

Bottom line - they wanted to leave while under contract. They probably went about it the polite and proper way, unlike Mr Lyon of Wee Waa.

Them choosing to leave helps free up the cash to pay for this (and any remaining) recruitment :)
