This talk of State Cup and props jogged my memory today.

This dude isn't ever going to play for Australia, but bugger me if he isn't a solid, hard, REAL front rower. If I remember correctly, he's of the Gibbs, Fulton, De Gois, Collis etc vintage so it's about time for a prop to be up to NRL standard. I'm not sure if he'd really fit our style of play... But he puts his head down, goes forward and is enthusiastic in defence.

I certainly wouldn't mind him playing a back up role as our limited front row stocks hit inevitable injury during the year.

Thoughts?

Unfit, I agree with. He fades HARD at the end of the spell. I reckon with a full time fitness regime he'd bring the form he does at the start of his stint, consistently. People used to call Gibbs lazy, I reckon they're peas in a pod.
