Yes the AB's accounted for the Boks last night but I was still not convinced by the performance ???.

Your thoughts ??.

they dominated a second string box team, but anyone probably could have done the same thing

you'll get a better idea when they play the Wallabies in kiwi land

Did the Wallabies? No they didn't, in fact, they got behind 17-0 against that same mob.

Very good performance, the Springboks defence was terrific. I agree with Wayne Smith, apparently there was 26 line breaks or something stupid like that, the difference was just unbelievable kamikaze goal line D and a couple of errors. The good thing for me was they were patient, happy to wait until the 65th minute. People are saying oh but they only rolled them in the last 15, BS, the All Blacks were absolutely all over them all game and it was brilliance from the Springboks that denied them. Don't care who was in their team, they were great defensively.

IMO Muliaina and McCalister had strong games as did Sooialo but the concern I have is that the backline is trying to be too pretty with some of their moves and not sticking to basics that will win games.

Carter going for a short drop out was a typical example and will be punished by Oz.

Stick to basics and the kiwis will win but only if the backs start gelling a bit more.

I think they'll be very pleased that Keith Robinson is back.

Halfback is a big worry, Kelleher and Weepu are nuffies. They don't seem ready to throw Leonard in to start, but he looks a much better halfback than those two.

Collins was missed, McAllister >>> Mauger.

To me they look a bit like the Aussie cricketers before the World Cup, a bit frustrated, a bit scratchy, and error prone. Hopefully, like the Aussie cricketers they find their stride.

Yep I think Henry needs to get in their ear and tell them to go for the percentage play a bit more often. Mind you when the fancy sh*t comes off it's fantastic, how about Rock's little backhander to Leonard, that was awesome.

below average for 3/4 of the game.

nobody seemed to click, they seemed to run out of support and lacked options.

rodney so'ialo was awesome, best game ive seen him play.

A couple of points.

1: rucking is not an offence.

2: Joe Rockocoko should NEVER be allowed to kick the ball.

that was a pretty sad call alright, bok was intentionally on the wrong side.

I'm not suggesting for one minute that we are better than the ABs. Its not about us.

I just expected the ABs to make a mess of the Saffers more than they did.

I had to laugh at the ref's call, he was claiming the ball was there and hayman wasn't rucking anywhere near it... right so we're three points up in a test against the boks, and instead of getting the ball out Hayman's just going to give one of the boks a kicking for the hell of it? Not like Hayman'sa dirty player either (if it had been Flavell who'dve been pinged for that I might have believed it  )

I've never seen a Springbok team "there for the taking", or just cave in. Their chemistry, their heritage just never really allows for that. No matter who they throw out, week by week you know it's fair dinkum. They grow an arm and a leg when you put that Springbok emblem on them.

Damn right...Henry needs to tell them to cut the fancy sh&t and play a structured game this Saturday.

The Aussies are not flash but do the basics well and take the points on offer through feeding off the errors made by the razzle dazzle plays that the AB's try to pull off...

Mauger should have been picked over McCalister...Toeava needs to get up in Mortlock's face to close his options...Collins and Sooialo need to be on his shoulder to nullify any breaks that Mortlock makes.;-)
