Blake green has won the South West Sydney Presidents award and the NSW Combined High Schools Val Lembit Trophey for most outstanding male athlete both which have been won by Ian Thorpe in the past.
A recent article in the Fairfield City Champion talks about Blake's achievments this season. He Captained the victorious NSW CHS side in this years national championships and was named most valuable player in the final. He also captained the Aus schoolboys and was again named most valuable player.
Australian Schools Rugby League president Bruce Wallace describes Green as the "finest Schoolboys rugby league captain I have ever seen"
In the article Green also mentions how it is excting being part of the full time squad in 05 and is training with guys he looked up to when he was younger. He also makes note of the intensity of the training and says he will take any opportunity he gets to play first grade.
He has also taken up a position as a development officer with the Eels junior rugby league program.
