After all this talk of Dykes leaving and our wonderful attacking performance last night i personally dont think he should be released unless we are going to buy another already established playmaker.
Have to agree. We are more of a danger 40m out than we are inside the 20. It reminds me very much of 1999-2000 when we really struggled to score points because everyone seems to be getting in each other's way. I actually think that Pearson was our best ball-player last night which is an embarrassment for any of the halves.
No under no circumstances. We are thin at the scrumbase. But play him at 6. He is not a 7 Brian. He has played 6 for over 150 first grade games. Do not try and reinvent the wheel Brian.
Look if Dykes goes we are gone for next year unless we sign an established half. I like Witt but he needs to be developed more. Dykes plays best at 5/8 but i think with Smith already saying Morris is going to play there we have a problem. I like Dykes off the bench playing in a role similar to a hooking and 2/3rd playmaker. Thorman 0/7 and i think dykes has a better record than thaty. Love or hate him we need him.
I just think Witt needs to be started at halfback and let play halfback. It may just be me but sometimes confidence and stability may actually reap some sort of reward.....
