I have been advised from a very good source that Stuart Raper, was in deep conversation with Adrian Lam, this goes back to there days in England, is there more then meets the eye, is he on standby, if there is a falling out with the current captain, or maybe coming in as adviser, as they worked very well together in England

Now that I've thought about it (my earlier reply was at 7 or 8 this morning!), didn't Lam injure himself pretty badly last year? I thought he retired? Or was at least thinking about it.

He had a cruciate ligament operation and is recuperating from that at the moment. Wigan have said they won't offer him another contract until they can assess his recovery.

he'd be so old now... Maybe a back up hooker or something.

hmm now that I think about it. No, as there would be no point.

That would be right though - We bring in Lam as a 'match payments only' type backup, but we can't find room for a backup in Deano in case Ando uses it in court against the club.

It's farged up.

He's out for most of the season. Any official discussions would have been about a coaching position. For mine, I think he would make a very good coach.

Lammy is currently in Brisbane, so who knows reemember Stu made the call, a position Lam would do well would be head runner, in vogue that Des Hasler was at manly

I think he may have a few problems running at the moment.

Wouldn't be too much of a problem. He could just stand in the opposition's defensive line and get in the way like Hasler always did.
