YEPPIE!!! Was a good game, though the differnce in completions shows that the Warriors should of won more convinving. Stacey Jones at lock forward (watch out campion next week) still he's always good enough to be on the field no matter what posistion he plays, although Stace hasn't found his best its fair to say the rugby field is like a hot tub the more you stay on it, the more wrinkley you get. Welcome back Lance, Solid game by him, style of play reminds me of Matthew Head and Scott Prince, we need a solid 5/8 like those players and Lance gave us that, Was impressed with the attack even though some players need to have a lesson on when to pass and when not to pass. Koopu, villasanti and Temata were dangerous on Attack, good to see Lafeta be effective when he was on. Webb was his skillful self, Mellers should retain his spot next week, Vinnie showed his strong performance which earned him a Kiwi jersey last year, Toopi played much better then the previous weeks. The Warriors still need to work on some of the defence. I'm not having a custard section due the fact the Warriors played as a team today and don't think there was a dissapointing performance, although Meli should of got involved more, 60 minutes in the game my Dad was like "is Meli playing". Good performance , Well Done Boys :D

Meli was trying to get invovled....I think the only playr who wasnt on form was Martin. Drop him and bring in Henry who is playing well in Bartercard Cup

Actually, Meli bothered me. Lack of real involvement, moreso when he did involved was extremely heavily dominated. And that ball he let go between his legs

Toopi played his best game, Koopu and Seu Seu were outstanding, Faumuina, Guttenbeil, Lauaki and Paleaaesina all played their parts. It let Hohaia dictate the game and give Jones second receiver ball to play with. Stace was playing lock in the scrum to give a quick fluent pass, I'm not sure though why the specialist half back couldn't have done that.

Mellars was extremely good - definitely retain him. Both he and Toopi did bomb a couple of tries between them, but an improvement in their communication should sort that issue. Mellars was also extremely involved in defence in the middle of the ruck. Well done young man.

Something I've been calling for for a while has been Leuluai's exclusion. The kid has a massive future - but thats just it, in terms of being able to dictate a game he's still a kid. He needs to go back to Bartercard, learn to dominate and take control of good situations. I think it paid off having Hohaia, in no way could Jones trust Leuluai to go into first receiver and dictate and direct. Hohaia he could with comfort. Then Jones was able to work wider, and run. The combination was damn effective, and puts our premiership chances back on track.

All won up front - the forwards played with fire and brimstone, AND fitness. Seu Seu completely dominated Kearns, was constantly driving through the first line of defence and from there it was bread and butter. If we play like that next week, we could put 50 on the Cowboys.

yeah i was looking at nrl stats and big jerry got something like 150 metres, would it be fair to say that he had his best of the season? coz i think he did, and paeleaesina coming off the bench to get 100 metres from 13 hitups. at the end of the day we should have won by 30.
well done to the warriors

I don't think you could drop anybody from that performance, but Meli didn't overlly impress me either. Still don't know what Fa'afili did to get the arse

Meli was poor, but I don't think anyone would benefit by moving to the right wing. Look at what's happened to poor old Henry. No matter how hard you try to get involved, you can't do much if every time the ball is spread wide, it goes to the left.

True. I don't think I realised Vinnie Anderson was on the park until the second half for the same reason. Still a pretty good win for a side supposedly in disarray playing with no hooker and a one-sided backline!

Good effort from the boys. I don't know about the calls that we should have won by 30 though. Sure we bombed a couple of tries but so did they. If Slater had held onto the ball a couple of times we would have lost that one as well. I can't help but feel that a lot of games this year are going to be won or lost on the bounce of the ball.

Well played Sione (did he drop the ball once yesterday?), Jerry, Koopu was massive on D, Lance added that bit of spark, Te Mata's hit on Kidwell was huge that set up the second try. It didn't look that big on TV but at the game it was massive.

It still looked pretty good on TV JoeD. Te Mata is certainly a good hitter, and Koopu came up with 3 or 4 good hits yesterday.

on either the nrl or telstra site you can stream replays of every game of the round.
dunno if you can save them and watch them later but if you have broadband you should get to see them.

It was a team effort for the first time this year.
Right across the park they put their hand up, thank God for that!!

A few mistakes for sure, Hohaia a little rusty..things that will come right.
Totally, totally impressed with Faumuina, who needs another Ali?
80 mins of determination, well done...

NRL stats has us down for 42 missed tackles and the Storm only 23 #-o

Apparently SeuSeu made 19 tackles and missed a whopping 7. I watch us defend very closely, and I sure as hell didn't notice.

This is why I have no time for NRL stats.

42? No chance in the world.

They defended like demons. Even Toopi was putting the hurt on. There were several sets early in the second half when we're under the pressure that the boys just kept turning up for.
