Aitken? getting closer.

If he does play it will be interesting to see how Raper uses him and there are two options as i see it:
He may start him from the bench, let the forwards sort themselves out in the first 15 to 20mins then throw him on.
He could also start him and throw him in the deep end straight away.
Id be more inclined to run with the first option being his first game with a view to starting him in the coming weeks.

Maybe Russ working down the right side of the field last week in premier league was preperation for a promotion.

there is no way in hell that russ deserves to play but i would like to see him on telly.
and why the F@#k did raper drop jason williams a few weeks ago its shit move because we need him now.
and on another thing it is good to se franze play better i wonder how long it takes before he gets back in the team. And when is rieck and bird back.

McGoldrick went down with the team when they played the Storm. Russ may get a start, moving Gallen back to the pack. Hmmm

Maybe he will get some time for next week when he plays in the halfs with Sully?

I don't think he'll play. I'm sure he's just going for the experience.

What is Raper thinking ?? Putting Aiken in when Lockyer is due back ?
Please, playing a monster pack like the Donkeys and he takes a spare little back up with the team......Having said that he is a good coach and may well have a great plan up his sleeve..................GOOD LUCK BOYS

It's very unlikely that Aitken would play unless there is an injury, given that he played 80mins last night in Premier League.

How did he go Paulmon?
I saw your spot on makisi, is he being consistent? How are his hands & speed with a bit of room?

He's the genuine emergency.
He'll play if somebody gets hurt at training today.

You are right. But our website reports that everyone is in good health. If one of the forwards was in genuine doubt, I'm sure Raper would have taken another player.

Aitken didn't stand out all that much last night, although he did score a try at a vital stage in the second half.

Makisi didn't really get a chance in open space - it was just the kick returns where he showed promise.

Franze also brought the 'Gidley' pass out twice. The first one went behind Dimitri Pelo and the second one was much better when he drew the centre and winger beautifully and put the bal on to Pelo's chest who proceeded to drop it. Also noticed Franze had a bit of aggression in his game which was good.

I think McSharkie will like this news, he's a great supporter of Aitken and probably will be more than happy to see him play up here in Brissy tomorrow.

It seems he has a 00 license for this pass.
If I was coaching him I think I would tell him to store it & work on his unders PG or face PG & his positioning game.
he's not in the right spot generally for that gidley PG & that is a fundamental mistake.
I think his gidley passing game is making up for his anability with unders or face.

He can score a try. Going into this round he was our leading try scorer in reserve grade and equal seventh for the reserve grade comp. He hasn't quite had the season i was hoping he'd produce, but has now crossed the line 8 times.

My VNRL teams eagerly await his promotion to first grade.

I just wanna see Aitken get a run before we go looking for another 5/8 at this stage and what he can strike up down that right side. If it doesnt work out so be it. You can see when he has the ball in hand he is all class even if it has only been on a limited basis in PL.
