From Sporting Life:
ALBERT EARNS LYON PRAISE
St Helens' in-form Australian flier Darren Albert was today hailed as one of the best wingers in the world.
The 29-year-old Albert, who last year won the title of fastest man in Super League, is the only player to have scored in all six rounds of the 2005 competition so far.
He maintained his impressive start with a brace of tries in Saints' 64-16 win over a shell-shocked Wakefield at Knowsley Road on Saturday night to take his tally to eight, level with Leeds winger Mark Calderwood, and earn the fulsome praise of his centre partner Jamie Lyon.
"He's awesome," said Lyon, the 23-year-old Australian Test centre. "I think he's the best winger I've played with or against.
"When you've got a quality player like that outside you, it makes you feel really comfortable. I can't give him enough raps."
From a man who partnered Lote Tuqiri and Nathan Blacklock in the 2001 Ashes Series, Lyon's compliment is praise indeed.
End
I would suggest Albert is now the worlds finest winger.
A Lyon, Albert combination would walk all over any combo used by the Roos in recent years.
