Departing centre Alby Torrens scored two tries in a 30-28 win over melbourne and then celebrated his last day as a Sea Eagle by being named winner of the prestigous Doug Daley Memorial Trophy for Clubman of the Year last night.


Torrens was a popular winner at a jam packed presentation in the auditorium of Manly leagues Club.


Torrens leaves Manly on a two year deal with St.George Illawarra.


In addition to Torrens the awards for 2004 were a triumph for the Stewart brothers Brett and Glenn.


Brett was a runaway ken Arthurson Rookie of the Year winner while Glenn Stewart scooped the awards in the Premier league as Bob batty Best and Fairest and Players Player.
