Did anyone watch this last night...I thought it was pretty good tbh

Seems an interesting premise for a show

I have seen the first 5 eps - and while it's OK, good concept and premise - I think they waste the opportunity in a number of ways.

They need to build more suspense around and make you think someone has a clue about how these guys are coming back and who is behind it. That part of the plot has got to be important, but it seems badly neglected.

Just having a cop with a comic book/writer guy sidekick catching antique bad guys is a bit thin, even with the whole murky Lair Under The Prison team pulling their strings.

Still a good show to watch though.

I watched the first episode and this is what I took form it.

1) The chick is rootable.
2) The dude is one big fat taco quaffing hombre
3) it is "Lost" all over again.
4) The chick is rootable.

Can't argue with 1 and 4 but they need to make her more unintentionally sexy. She can't have a romantic association with Blubber Boy, it's just not believable, so they need to have reasons to get her in sexy scenario's. Chase scenes that involve her having to get wet, a torture scene with her in a singlet and not much else, a secondary casual love interest in the form of an old flame etc. She's a bit wasted at the moment.

Watched it, but as yet haven't been pulled into it.

It does feel like they're trying to recreate the feeling of Lost with very similar music and uninteresting flashbacks. Difference is Alcatraz is yet to really provide any characters that hold my interest as it seems very pain by numbers so far.

Quite underwhelmed, much like I was with Terra Nova.

the missus was really keen to watch that, so i skipped alcatraz, having seen it, i think we'll stick with revenge, it looks a good one
