Yep, just like classic WWF style last night there was a fatal three way match in Buenos Aires. Nigel Whitehouse, the Welsh referee absolutely destroyed any flow of the match with about 25 penalties, including a range of decisions that no one could figure out one way or the other. Whitehouse showed himself to be the old school type of referee going by the old comment "I will be more noticed than any player." Sources say that frozen foods sales are soaring due to the amount of peas Whitehouse goes through from his constant whistle blowing. He seemed to A: favour home side B: favour underdog C: favour any side that follows the classical old British style of boring footy of maul, maul, and then back to the first five in the pocket for the old 'garry-owen' or thumping aimless punt into no-man's land. Positive ball movement, positive scrummaging, ripping the ball away when its not a ruck were simply outlawed last night by Whitehouse.
If anyone can explain half of his decisions, be sure to let us know. Please? I hope no one who is a big league fan who just wants to bag out union at any chance got to watch that match, or any union fan who wasn't an All Blacks or Argentinian fan got to watch that game - the only good thing to come out of that game was Whitehouse developing a cure for insomnia.
Deadset, this particular tool will cost a major side a chance to progress in the next world cup if he is not deregistered immediately. Pity, that bloke ruined that game a chance of being a classic and a good advert for rugby union.
