It will be an all New Zealand Womens Rugby League World Cup final, after both the Kiwi Ferns and Maori outfits knocked out Australia and Great Britain respectively. The strength of women’s Rugby League compared to the other nations is remarkable, and whilst it was a shame that new power nations, such as France and Russia were unable to make the trip down and compete in the tournament, it would highly doubtful that they would of stopped the black and white surge for the final.

The New Zealand Kiwi Ferns, who have not lost a match all tournament, had no trouble defeating Great Britain, who they faced in the 2000 Women’s World Cup final in England, winning 38 – 0.

The Maori had a slightly harder time defeating the Australian Jillaroos which lead 4 – 0 at half time, before the Taute scored two unanswered tries for the home team to win 12 – 4.
