i think its time that i join the club especially after reading the papers today and how fitzy said that smith has all the control over the recruitment and sacking of players. well if thats the case "SMITH IS A DEAD SET PAJERO"
and i have had enough i dont care how much it costs something has to change before june 30 or well just end up buying more crap and let go of the few good players we do have left. 'SMITH ITS TIME TO GO".

At the start of the season I think it fair to say to was about 50/50 split I think the ratio is about 99:1 against Smith.

I really don't think Smith can turn it around, I have lost all faith in him. A Smith-Hater is just another word for a Parramatta supporter these days.

Look One thing we SMITH HATERS have to acknowlege is that Brian Smith hurts just as much and probably even more when the side plays like that.
Remember he isnt the one thats kicking out on the full or missing 40 odd tackles per game.. its the players.

BUT

It has to be said - and Im sure Brian can see this too - and that is the team is just not responding to whatever tactics that he is employing. The team is basically OK. We have good skills over the park but we are sadly lacking organisation and if we didnt have Hindy we would really be stuffed.
Im sure Brian knows that he can do the job but at this time he would be really questioning his ability to do the job.

Dont question your ability Brian - you are and will continue to be a great coach. But Im afraid this wont be at Parramatta. The side needs new blood and you need a new team.

Remember people - dont be suprised if Brian goes somewhere like the Gold coast or Souths and really makes them into a premiership force. He IS a great coach but he is stale at Parramatta and I think you will see him resign after this year.

Once again,

beautifully said parralight.

Brian Smith is a GREAT COACH. I was thrilled to bits when he signed for Parra 8 years ago.
I really thought he was the right person. He admitted that it was a thrill to be appointed coach of the Eels. And that was exciting for me to know that he thought of our club in that way.

But it is now 8 years on. And we are basically back to where Ron Hilditch left us.

Therefore, Brian, you have done as much for us as you can.

For the good of Parramatta, don't be stubborn. Don't put your personal interests ahead of the club and its supporters.

You are a great coach. No doubt, you can weave your magic in the future. I sincerely hope you do.
But your time here is nigh.

Please do the right thing for everybody.

Suity

I don't hate Brian. I just wish he'd realise he's done all he can for Parra and step aside, let some else take over.

IMO Brian has offered the team and the club all he can for eight years...... however what he offered at the start is not as constructive or as positive as what he did in 1997. I'd rather see him bow out with a bit of dignity then have to be sacked by the board.

i agree to he will be of immense benefit to another club like the rabbits or the new franchise but unfortuanatly is run out of ideas i still believe he could of great benefit still to the club in some kind of capacity just not head coach and when he leaves hell be a great loss

That is the problem though, the board are 100% behind him so he isn't feeling any pressure from them to stand down, as far as he is concerned he is safe and until he feels that pressure i think we will have alot of sad game days to come

I think the board are going to have go against him soon because the fans will stop going to the games, therfore no money and at the end of the day it is a business and if your business aint making money then you have to make whatever changes are needed. Denis is a business man and if it comes to money or Brian i guarantee you he will choose money..........especially because of the pokie tax that is coming......

Crowds are down by about 3 or 4 thousand I think in the last couple of years. That's several hundred thousand dollars lost per year. They should cut their losses and sack Smith now rather than later. Fans aren't gonna put up with it much longer.

Good to see 873 locked into so many dials
On a serious note I can see why many people think his time is up, but if the club doesn't then it is time to move on and once again get behind him. For the benefit of us all!!
I know Smith is still the man to bring us through this tough period, and I am willing to back him to the hill.
WHY??
Because I sense his passion in everything he does for our great club. Not many people would stay and fight (ala our grub Lyon) and I give him credit for that where others see it another way!! -And they are entitled to that opinion and I am entitled to mine!!!!
