Alternative jersey-Round 1!

Can someone please explain why Penrith,playing at home and against a team wearing red and blue is wearing the ALTERNATE jersey?
Is the NRL involved with this?
I just dont get it,our first game of the year and we are not wearing the new jersey..what a waste of money!!!
(Hopefully the NRL site is wrong and we have the black on!!)

The NRL site isn't always right, last year they had jerseys on there and they didn't wear it. But who cares anyway, we wil still wear the black jersey throughout the year.

I'm 99.9% sure they nrl site is wrong. If you look out "our club" or whatever it lists the alternative strip as being our main jersey and vice versa. It also says Peter Lewis, A 110kg premier league foward is playing as centre...

I wouldn't be taking much notice of it, they've got Andrew Price listed, and he isn't playing. They haven't listed David Seage and he is definately on the bench, they must've conjoured up that preview page.

I dont know why they have to change the jersy each year anyway. Why not stick with the strip we won the comp in? Why do we have to change for change sake all the bloody time?

I'm guessing it's so that each year us supporters buy the new Jersey to keep the cash rolling in.

There is no way that Penrith would wear anything but the new black jersey, at home,
for the first game of the new season.

The NRL site simply got it wrong.......AGAIN... :roll:

That's why I NEVER use that site as my first port of call for new info.

There are many other sites that tell you news faster, and much more accurately.

You would think the NRL would be the first to be up to date with the news of League and also CORRECT!

I see no clash between the black strip of the Panthers, and the blue and red of the Knights... doesn't make sense! :?
