wouldnt say that, i was hoping it would be the greenday of dookie and insomniac years, just with the political views. what i have heard of it is slow and soft for greenday. they seemed to have matured a fair bit, its an ok album but they have much better stuff than whats on american idiot.

Compared to Warning, it is infinetly better. I don't think it is slow or soft a all, there are a couple of softer songs but it also has it's brash moments of pure emotion that made up Dookie.

Green Day have definetly matured, 10 years ago they could never have pulled of an album like this. The St. Jimmi plot, it gets better with every listen.

yeah i only listened to it once, and compared to warning anything is better by greenday. warning was garbage in my opinion.

have to grab it off my mate and give it a good listen.

Good..but not as good as Insomniac,Dookie or Nimrod. Maybe because the band has matured but eh...

Never the less still a top album.

I'm loving this album actually. Real depth, real emotion, and a real message which I feel is missing in a lot of music these days.

Just gets better with each listen.

I love it, A real message being crossed, Very Mature and some really classy songs.

I must say, My favourite song so far is "Holiday" and i can say that this will be a number 1 hit, I can just see it.

Modern Punk album of the year = Hazen Street - Self Titled

Hazen Streets albums shits all over greendays one which is suprising considering when i heard it was being released on those twinkies from good charllotes record label i wasnt expecting much.

I used to love Green Day songs when i was about 13-14 now i'm 17 and haven't heard them for while. I first heard this song a couple of weeks ago and didn't like it at first but i do now but it's not that good.

BTW Empire Strikes First and Hollywood Potatoe Chip I have, in fact, purchased earlier this year and enjoyed them both thoroughly although the new BR album is certaibnly no 'Recepie For Hate'!

Ive been a fan of Green Day since I got Dookie when it came out,
went to there Nimrod concert at festival hall in Melbourne, great gig.
They were on Recovery the morning after the concert still wearing the same cloths, so they must have been up all night partying then went straight to the show.
THe new album is pretty good, ive found alot of the songs to be growers.
Track 10 letterbombs I think its called is a great tune.
Track 2 and 12 are made up of about 4 or 5 different tunes blended into one, good songs but I think they could have made full songs out of them
cos some of those tunes sound awesome and would have made good complete songs.
Hey if you love Green Day get it, if your not a big fan, you probally wouldnt find its worth.
Yeah it is better then Warning, more depth.
