First match kicks off at 10:30 am

Bulls vs. Mantarays. The MantaRays will have help from players from the Utah team. Expext the MantaRays to put up some points.

Bulls by 24+

Raiders vs Braves. This will be the Braves first march ever at the shore.

Raiders by 12+

Warriors vs. Wildcats. Big match in the playoff picture. The Catsmust win in order to stay in contention for that #2 playoff seed. The Warriors are still in contention for the 4th, 5th, 6th, or 7th playoff seed. If the Warriors could pull off an upset they could end up getting some help from other teams could end up getting the 4th seed, and a home playoff match.

Sats by 12 or less

Slayers vs. Fight. The Slayers are still in the playoff hunt. However, they must beat the Fight in order to be garented that 7th seed.

Slayers by 18+

Axemen vs. Sharks. Biggest match of the day. The Axeman are playing for the 4th seed, and a home playoff game.

Axemen by 18 or less

The Axemen will be bringing at least 20 players to the shore.
We have a commitment to the city of Jacksonville and our fans to give them a home play off game. We have increased our training this week and we are almost injury free.

The American National Rugby League annual Rugby League festival at the New Jersey Shore will present a full day of entertainment with six exciting matches that kickoff at 10am on Saturday, July 22 at Deely Field on 59th and Central Avenue in Sea Isle City.

This year's event will again feature a number of skills and drills challenges for fans, along with music, food and a full day of fun for the family.

Admission is FREE and the AMNRL looks forward to another huge turnout for what has developed into a highlight event on the Jersey Shore summer calendar of events.

Not only will the Rugby League be entertaining and exciting this year's 'War at the Shore' holds special significance...
The AMNRL would like to announce the creation of the "Robert B. Preston Memorial Trophy". This trophy will be presented to the Most Outstanding Player of the day at the 'War at the Shore' event in Sea Isle City on July 22, 2006. The inaugural trophy will be presented this year at the 'War at the Shore' and will then be given annually.

Robert Preston, father of long time player, Jeff Preston, was an avid rugby
league fan and supporter from the beginning days of rugby league in the U.S. He attended many U.S. Tomahawk, Glen Mills Bulls, and Philadelphia Fight matches supporting his son and especially loved the 'War at the Shore' event and came down to see it every year from the family shore house in Ocean City, NJ.

Robert Preston passed away in February of 2006 and this award will presented in his memory.

The full schedule for the 2006 'WAR AT THE SHORE IX' is

Game One - 10:30am Delaware Mantarays v Glen Mills Bulls
Game Two - 12pm Philadelphia Fight v Washington DC Slayers
Game Three - 1:30pm Connecticut Wildcats v New Haven Warriors
Game Four - 3pm New York Knights v Utah Outlaws
Game Five - 4:30pm New Jersey Sharks v Jacksonville Axemen
Game Six - 6pm Boston Braves v Northern Raiders, NY

You still could get your chance slow frontrower.

If the Sharks loose their last two matches and get no bonus points. The Axeman win both of their last two matches and get the most amount of points they can get. And the Warriors get at least 1 bonus point against the Wildcats, and get the max. poinst against the Raiders the Axeman will get the 3rd seed, the Wariors, the 4th seed, and the Sharks the 5th seed.

Now if the Wildcats get the 3rd seed they will play the Sharks home. (your wish would be granted)

If the Knights get the 3rd seed they will play the Sharks home.

I know that the teams out there are made up mostly of Tongans. I played with a couple of them in the Katrina Benefit match last year. They are strong, but were not in the best of shape.

I don’t know if there has been any progress with the WAMNRL. There has to be some kind of progress if they are sending a team to play the Knights.

The sharks would love to play connecticut in a home playoff match. We would be sure to welcome you to levittown properly. Maybe hurtfully. Come on down to Shark Park.

Is less then 24 hours away.

2 of the six matches could determine who gets the 4th, 5th, or 6th playoff seed.

Utah already has some of its players in town

The Pomies from Cambridge are suppose to be down there to watch the matches.

Going to be another great day down the shore, with some great footy to be played.
