Amsterdam Rugby League?

Competitions have been held in Holland in the past though I'm led to believe there is currently little being done in the country after efforts to qualify for the 2008 WC failed.
Checked the video and the shirt is odd, though most likely has been created by somebody who knows nothing of the game, let alone its existence. Could have been made by a rugby person perhaps (Rugby competitions have previously been called 'Rugby League' in reference to it being a 'league' of teams). The crosses you refer to are most likely windmills. Cant work out the significance of 1974 though.

Didn't the Dutch resume play at a domestic level last year. I'm sure I didn't imagine that! No I didn't - check out the link

Website seems like its still being put together :(

Small domestic competition started in 2009..correct.
Mostly 9's with a couple of full games against Oxford University Old Boys who have toured Holland for the last eight seasons.

Regarding the T shirt in the clip posted... nothing to do with the game.Believe it or not you often see people wearing T shirts or hoodies with the name Rugby League on it..ask them why and they dont know what it is ,,just a fashion item.
The clours are the red white and blue of the Dutch flag and yep they are windmills...cant read whats under 1974 but defo NOTHING to do with the game.
Nice spot though.

Was given the short for Christmas as my brother came across it somewhere in the States. Don't know any more about it than that.
