"Another fan was more blunt, posting: "Spewing. Who shops away their f ... ... captain?""

Steve Noyce, that's who...

But in other news - how long will it be before McDonnell gets quoted in the Tele showing interest in Anasta?

"Well, he's an old, seasoned rep player isn't he? On the decline you might say... and he plays in the back row, which is handy... He's never played west of St Marys but you know, two out of three ain't bad. We'd be silly not to have a look at him if he became available".

To be honest I don't think he'd be a bad addition to our roster for 2012... Wonder if he'd be happy keeping the bench warm.

No Thanks, for the money he would be after he would be a complete waste. We are already strong in 5/8 and lock.

Although we know Sheens loves an experiment, perhaps he can take on the challenge of proving he is a better coach than Brian Smith by turning Anasta into a fullback.

i wouldnt mind anasta at wests. he is only turning 30 next year and he had a good year last year. i think he would fit in fine at our club and he would go well in an attacking team. we need to sign lawrence first though. anasta could play lock, heighington 2nd row, fulton interchange

Marshall has failed at halfback every time we've put him there, why would it be any different next time.

Was Noyce still our CEO when we didn't re-new Hodgson's contract?

He hasnt really played at halfback.

He still slots into halfback most games but still has the 6 jersey on his back. Honestly it doesnt matter where he plays.

On Anasta I wouldn't want him. Id prefer Moltzen and Marshall in the halves.

Wasn't it Brad Fittler that tried that (2009).

I thought he was, but I'm ready to stand corrected 'cause I can't really remember...

Exactly, and has failed at halfback for the Kiwi's everytime as well,at 5/8th the Kiwi's are world champions, don't go down that road again,it's like Fitzy at 6 or Morris in the halves,it don't work no matter how many chances you give them.

Anasta would suit us to a tee.

13. Anasta

7. Moltzen
6. Marshall

His kicking game and guidance would be a revelation for us....

Get him.

Please...

The Roosters dont think he is value at 13, why should we?

He wants to go somewhere to play at 6.... I cant see that being us somehow...

Benji actually did a lot of good work down the right for the Kiwis. Even with Nightingale outside him, he still looked a different player. Considering how poorly I rate Nightingale, my estimation of Ryan went down even further during the 4N.

Theirs a thing called the salary cap!! Lets try and squeeze Rowdy into our cap and maybe James Grahame if it will stretch far enough before we think of a player like Anasta. Really how many organizers do we need???

Are you serious? One would be a good start... Farah does a fine job when he's left to the forwards but he shouldn't be left to run the whole team.

No, no, no to Anasta. Our money is better served elsewhere (i.e upgrading Lawrence and other young guns)

I am quite happy to label Anasta a big blouse and sook (from the comfort of my desk and not to his face though) and of little use to our team and structure

Benji's certainly getting more comfortable down the right - most of the early running in the Raiders semi was down the right. But he still favours the left.

Anasta's kicking game alone would be handy. Certainly wouldn't look to break the bank on him, but he would be a handy addition without question.
