Anasta: Stuart is man for the job
Thursday, July 13, 2006

After enjoying a dominant period over the last few years, that included 3 successive grand final appearances, the Roosters have struggled in 2006.
As is inevitably the case when a successful team hits a rough period, the critics go straight for the jugular.

Braith Anasta and his Roosters’ teammates are happy to accept responsibility for some of their poor performances, but don’t point the finger of blame at the coach.

“Ricky is a great coach, his record speaks for itself,” Anasta said.
“We have all the confidence in the world in him and know if we keep our heads down our fortunes will turn around.

“It’s disappointing because the effort is there, but we just can’t put it all together for 80 minutes.”

The Roosters are still a mathematical chance of making the finals and Anasta feels they can still do it.

“The mood in the camp is still very positive and we know we are capable of doing some damage this season. The time for excuses is over though and we really need to start winning.”

Every team goes through the same tough periods, but the real indication is always how they respond. Anasta is confident the Roosters are ready to show their critics what they are made of.

“We are experiencing a very difficult period at the moment, but we know will get out of it and Ricky is the man to lead us.”

I have no doubt the Roosters can do it as i have no doubt that the great days of Soviet Union Football will return under Hiddink and Mr Chelsea (Roman Abramovich) for Soviet Russia.
