well the big celebrations expected in the pepe household have fizzled out to something resembling a morque.

i will return bigger and better for the next election,the gloves will be off next time and i promise it will be a take no prisoners campaign,good luck to roopy and moffett fan club,yes that is what mfc stands for,in retrospect i should have taken advantage of his name but fought a clean battle ,next time expect a more pro active campaign.

My thanks to everyone who voted for me. I will try to keep up the good work started by the other assistant managers over the last few months.
Pepe and Lord Ted were worthy candidates - I know I would have voted for either one of them.
Who would have thought MFC would win a popular vote when he first started posting on WORL. I'm sure his'handle' was even chosen as a 'stir.' MFC has since proven, time and again, on various threads that he is one of the most insightful of Rugby League fans, and, despite his ignoble beginnings as a true 'shit stirrer,' he has turned out to be atrue gentleman of the message boards.

The shock horror of it all.....and MFC's declaration that he won't be posting heremuch... and then there was Moffo's lingering doubts over LWOS andwhether or not it would have itany one here in 2 months time. Well less than a month later he's one of the moderators.
Offcourse the writing was on the wall with MFCs first post being this forum's first discussion to reach 50 replies. Not too shabby afterall.

Just flicking back and looking through some of the threads that i missed. A big thanks to all for the comments, it was all very inspiring....
Willow, i still have 'moderate' reservations about this site. I love it and all, and at this time i will reserve my judgement. I still believe that WORL needs quality posters, and i put up posts whenever i find something worth posting. There is new talent coming through on that site, it should be developed instead of wasting them on arguing whether Wendy or Girds is a better looker....
Roopy, it was a bit of a shit-stir but 'alot of truth is said in jest'...i did think, and still do, that the crap he has copped has been largely undeserved. He has a proven track record, perhaps his biggest vice is his unawareness of the huge rivalry that exists between union,league and AFL. His at times questionable activities (he has tickets for the bledisloe cup) are rightfully considered dubious. But overall, he is going OK given the circumstances.
I got 250 votes?? Wow, a big thanks goes out to Moffo Jnr, Moffo Snr, Bro Moffo, Sis Moffo, grandma moffo, grandpa moffo and cousin Moffo lol...
Rugby League deserves a future. It deserves a future as one of the premier sports, worldwide. We all know it is extremely exciting and almost ALWAYS watchable, something that most other codes could not honestly claim. I guess it may seem a bit desparate at times, but all of the 'crusades' that i and others have initiated on both WORL and LWOS have all had the aim of promoting the game, improving its image and improving the awareness of the game. Sure, it hasn't always worked (someone still 'locks the doors' when i try to enter that AFL Website hehe) but i think that overall, it has been good. I guess you could say it is a vision, worth fighting for....the game is worth fighting for, the game is worth promoting, and almost 100 years of history deserves a better future then what Union and AFL are trying to promote at the moment through there various crooks and cronies....
