Is this guy for real?

He has exploded ever since Jamison was traded.

Averaging 27 points and 11.6 boards in his last 5 games. Would seem as though the Wizards knew what they were doing when they traded Jamison after all.

no hes isnt for real,he did the same thing for a month at the start of the year
You've gotta be kidding.

Through 11 games as a starter this year (averaging 37 minutes), he's putting up a 21/10 with a steal, 1.5 blocks and over 3 assists.

Amazing what extra playing time does to a young player's confidence.....

They have been calling him the next big thing for years. Wasn't he one of the last HS players drafted?

Yep in 05, the last draft where HS players were elligible. Bynum was another player that went prep-to-pro in that draft.

I should've probably added that no longer having Arenas, Jamison and Butler ahead of him in the pecking order hasn't hurt either....

Yeah, it will be interesting to see if he can put up similar numbers on a good team.

If he does turn out to be for real, the Jamison deal could end up being great for the Wizards. Still would like them to have tried and get Hickson as well, but Blatche is at about 3 million per year for the next 3 years as opposed to Jamison who's at an average off 13 million per for the next 3 years, plus is entering his mid 30s.

Wiz fans have had huge raps on him for years - as K said. From what I understand his biggest issue, apart from having some decent players in front of him, has been his maturity - making him not unlike a fair few other straight to NBA players. Let's see where he goes from here.
