Was he in charge of the hammy's? Gotta get some of the twinkies that play for us supple and ready for a haircut next season.

No one is sad to see him go is the info I have.

That could be a double edged sword.

Are they happy to see him go because of an attitude issue?

Or, is it because they are getting flogged to death and genuinely overworked?

I believe John Morris is Degree qualified in Sports Science? I thought he would have a lot of input into the training and preparation of the team. Injuries were that last concern I had when he took over as Head Coach.

Ask @shaggs
He is up on this topic
I went into the Tigers forum last week and told them of our hamstring issues.
Look the guy was good for us, but maybe he's fallen a little bit behind the times, or something like that.

He was fantastic for us early in his stint. Had the team fit and focused.

There has to be a reason for the hamstring issues. Too many to be a coincidence. In fact, those soft tissue injuries wrecked the season.

I believe style of play has a lot to do with injuries. We didnt change the physio, but we changed how we played.
Had an interesting conversation with a physio who specialised in distance running. The data available for injury is extensive.
How to train to avoid injury by limiting your speed increases & distance increase.
How to change your placement, to a less risky placement, ie midffot.
Correct tempos to run to avoid injury, 180 per minute etc.
Everything she told me was about reducing the risk of injury whilst simultaneously increasing distance, speed & strength.

His methods were great to change a club that was lacking under the Elkins regime.

The problem is, getting a squad to that level of hardness and fitness is taxing physically and mentally. The 2015/16/17 were exactly what we needed.
Not adapting to the squads needs during 2018 and 2019 have proven to be the sword he fell on. The players were worn out. It was obvious at the end of 2018 that we were struggling physically. The players started this season leg weary and fatigued. Nothing during the year changes my idea of this.

Those are all good points. The issue is that we are the sharks. We are under resourced and can’t put those plans into action.
The staff is simply not there. The training staff we have, aren’t all sports scientists. They are regular blokes who love footy and love working with the club.

If we had the science and rehab group the storm have, then we would have been ok.
