shame about him looks like his out for the season, i feel so sorry for him and will miss seeing him on the feild i wouldnt be suprised if he calls it quits and decides to retire, hell be a great loss for the rest of the season not only to the knights but fans of other clubs who like seeing the best of the best on the feild. :(

If he is out for the season I think the Knights have just gone from a definate Top 4 finish to a side that will probably finish at best close to the bottom of the Top 8. He is just too important to their team for them to play without him. Plus the amount of other injuries they have got isnt going to help their cause.

Bad luck for Joey that is for sure.

I really hope he doesn't retire. Will be a real shame if that's the last we see of him in the NRL. Surely he'll come back...???

Reading his column in the Telegraph it shows no hint of him retiring at this stage. I really hope he doesn't..it'd be a shame.

It takes me back to the later years of Kenny and Sterlo.
Injuries plagued them as well, and the game was not the same without them.

I hope Joey makes a full recovery and we get to see him play again.

Like him or not, he is great for Rugby League, and when he is gone for good, the game will be the poorer.

I think it's a bit premature to be talking about retirement.

As an Eels and QLD origin supporter Johns has broken my heart more times than I care to remember. As league supporter he has been a pleasure to watch.
I hope he gives the game another go.
Coming off contract with Newcastle though, once the emotion dies down and it comes down to a business decision it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Terrible to see such a greaty player like Andre Johns injured from a "nothing" incident.
I was at Cumberland Oval in the sixties when Reg Gasnier suffered a similar injury that ultimately led to his retirement.

If he does retire it will free up a hell of a lot of their salary cap, I wonder who they would be looking to buy

Maybe Parra could follow and old format.
Wait till a player is all busted up and ready to retire, give him a year at the helm, get to the grand final...
used and abused... :D
