Lucks record against the Patriots

2012: Patriots 59-24
2013: Patriots 43-22
2014: Patriots 42-20
2014: Patriots 45-7

He doesn't have much luck against them.

Its amazing how well that guy has played given all he has around him. His line is a mess, his receivers lead the NFL in drops, and continued making key drops in today's game. Absolute dick fingers the lot of them. Vontae Davis is about the only bloke on defense worth feeding. And they have 'Boom' Herron and Trich 2.9 in the back field

that team is picking top 5 in the NFL draft without Luck.

Luck is a great QB and this year will only add valuable experience.

Luck wasn't on the field when the Pats posted all those scores.

Why people hold QB's accountable for opposition blow-outs is beyond me.

the playoff blowouts are also caused because they aren't quite there as a team yet. The Colts play 6 games against hou, Ten and Jax every year which just about guarantees the Colts making the playoffs every year. I think Lucks record against these teams is 17 - 2

obviously they need massive help on the D side of the ball which will be hard to get when they pay Luck $25 million per season and have late round draft picks every year.

They're only paying him $5m per season at the moment. In a couple of years yes, they will need to pay him a boatload.

I read they were already in discussions about it

Ah yes. He came out the same year as Wilson. They're screwed then. They can beat up on their division but will be hard to take the next step. Pretty much the same as when meaning was their qb.

I don't like the way it always turns into a QB v QB discussion.

Apparently, the QB is responsible for everything that happens on the field.

The New England Bradys. The Denver Mannings. The Chicago Cutlers. The Cleveland Manziels.

It may sound ludicrous, but I think QB is the most overrated postion.

It is but while they get all the blame if it goes well, when it goes bad they get all the shame too.

they get the blame and the credit its entirely fair.
the job of the GM, the coach etc is to build up the guys around him.
my team, for example would be a 4-12 team without Phil Rivers IMO.

QB's win you Championships, just look at the last 10 QBs to win, having a great defence is essential, but if you can't score it doesn't matter how good your defence is.
