With the Central Coast not getting a look in until at least 2007, Parra will moore then likely chase Matt Orford (This time properly) in 2005. Assuming we do not get PJ Marsh and Witt is not the answer this if it was up to me MUST happen.

I don't think he would leave Melbourne, If he wanted to be close to his family he could've played out of Parra but stayed in Melbourne for another year.

Lets see how WItt, TimSMith and Blake Green come on next year before we go spending 500k on a player.

I agree with all of those who say Hindy is a priority. Orford may be a great talent but he is also greedy and neither passionate nor loyal to his club.

I agree with you in regards to Hindy being a priority Eels Dude but believe your being a bit harsh on Orford. He has been loyal to Melb and is very passionate in his play, can't blame him for getting the best deal he can any more than you can blame Hindy for asking for more.

Fair enough, in retrospect I was a little harsh. I don't see Orford as a make or break player to get hold of though. Perhaps we should wait and see how the sides and our halves combination go next yr before we speculate on who we need to bring to the club.

Yeah agreed, though I don't think we have much choice anyway as we must surely by near our cap and need to keep some for Hindy.

Watch Orford go to Newcastle at the end of 2005... Joey will have given up, the Knights will need a general (because that's what they're used to), and it's close enough to his family on Central Coast.
