I've never seen snow - and i don't think i'll rush off to see it anytime soon. I hate the cold.

They just showed the snow in Orange on the 10 news.

My mother's family comes from Orange - they even have streets and a retaurant named after them (maybe that closed - it was 15 years ago i went there) but i'd never go there in winter.

I had never seen snow until June 2005 - that was back when I still lived in Newy - and a mate and I headed up to the Barrington Tops and found up to 10cm of snow settled up there (at the snow gates on the Gloucester side)

The other half of the story is that I took a big esky up with me to fill it with snow for the two Malaysian students who lived a few doors down from me in my dorm...I should've dropped by old man Roops' house as well :p

The funniest part was that the snow lasted in the esky for a good 3-4 days before completely melting!

Woodward street.
My great great grandfather was the second mayor of Orange and built the first brick building in town - the building is now the Metropolitan hotel.

I actually found this picture at the state library - the guy on the doorstep is possibly my GG Grandfather.
The guy was actually a convict who made a lot of money selling clothing mainly during the goldrush - and the shop was a tailors shop before it was a pub.

My folks in Ben Lomond say they've had a higher than average amount of snow this year, and more to come. Might be time for another trip, Serc :p

Yeah, I was talking to them at around 10pm Australian time and it was snowing as we spoke. Expected to be more today.
