If val signs with cows in november - which he will - l reckon flanno will let him go and do the straight swap for BB.

Maybe we get compensated with another cowboy. Granville or Hess would be noice.

Flanno snr must see Flanno jr as a half next year. Has to be part of the planning.
The post-maloney option has been good but not good enough.
Cant wait another 12 months to ready flanno jr - if he dont make it next year he never will.

Whats this mean for Moylan?

No good persisting trying to turn a horse into a donkey.

He needs to be where he has more space and less organisational duties.

BB is your fullback.....so Moylan a centre?
f**k knows we need one.

If Holmes signs, I reckon we should try and get Barba on a 1 year deal next year.

We know what we get with him, he's a more than adequate replacement. That gives us a year for us to decide whether we signed Barba on a longer term deal, or hunt for a 5/8 and think about moving Moylan/Dugan to the back.

I wouldn't give up on Moylan playing 5/8 just yet. He was in his first year at a new club and the spine never really settled till the back half of the year. The remaining backs never really settled at all.

If we want to swap Holmes, we should push for Hess we need a backrower, and only take him if he signs 3 year deal, we need backrowers he can do the job.

Fullback you then have either Kennedy or Moylan ( i have given up on Dugan).

The halves if Kennedy works out at fullback Moylan again possibility, the halves fight out between CT, Williams, Flanno, and this kid i know its on Flegg but Trindall could be the wildcard, he is attacking half with giant boot,.

possible spine next year

1. Moylan (Kennedy)
6. Flanno
7. Trindall/Williams
9. Brailey (Brailey) jnr

You would be going with very little experience in halves but Kennedy/Williams/Flanno/Brailey Jnr combo 1 First grade experience, but years of being a spine

If barba becomes the fullback in a swap deal then he will help Moylan 100%. Barba can take the load off like Coote did for Morgan in the early days

Holmes isbt quite there. We had a fullback in his full season in the position, a 6 in his first full season and a second year hooker who is 21.
The spine experience wasn’t there at all.
Add in the aging backrowers and the lack of explosive size and it’s a wonder we got so far.

Our forwards were great at getting the work done but we didn’t really have a line busting guy who ran at speed with power.

Yes. 1 year only in that scenario. Then chase Cum Dumpster hard. Or the next best playmaker after Cum.

Second full season at fullback. 5th in NRL (debuted 2014). Played a test at fullback too.

Sorry, you can’t polish a turd.

Holmes is not a ball player but he's the least of our problems.

Chad and moyza don't work unless they are both firing. Chad can't carry a game himself. Moyza drifts in and out.

You say Holmes isn’t a problem. He is a big part of it. It’s 2018, the prototype fullback ball plays. He’s another that needs Graham in the team because Wade is the third ball player.

Graham is THE most important player in the team.

Yeah but he shouldn't be.

Who's the other one and a half?.

If Holmes is indeed leaving in 2020, may as well swap him with barbs for 2019. A ball-playing fullback could take us to another level if we have the forward power to get us down the field.

He’s behind Ponga, RTS, ToyBoyofaBitch, Boyd, Brimson as well

He’s on a par with most of the rest.

He’s marginally ahead of Matthew Dufty, who is a clone of Nathan Gardner.

This year he is better than all of them.
Ponga is the most over rated player in the game.

If Holmes is going in 2020, he plays on the wing next year, and we give someone else a crack there, we know Holmes is great finisher we might as well get 1 more year out of that whilst getting another fullback ready
