Wade McKinnon still has not run this week and is very, very doubtful.

If he does not play, Beau Ryan will drop back to fullback and SAM LATU will come onto the wing.

McKinnon has looked better in his couple of games at FB than ANYONE else we've had since Hodgo.

Great signing.

Our track record on contracting injured players is not good- Cayless, Tupou, McKinnon (if this injury is serious- its degree seems to be kept quiet by WT). Makes me very, very iffy about even thinking about extending Tuiaki's contract.

I'm now more for the Ockhams razor approach- does this injury permit player recovery to past performance in most known instances?

Yes, ok offer 1 year extn.
No, sorry to see you go but try elsewhere and wish him luck.

Unfortunately everyone seems to be sayings it more no than yes.

As for McKinnon, I just hope he can recover. Its a dodgy knee isnt it? He has provided the solidity Teflon wanted from fulback.

Really? OK then lets bring in Fitzy or Lazarus.

Yeah McKinnon isn't the most electrifying fullback going around but he is the best one we've got and he'll do me.

Under the watchful eye of our medical team headed by DR Death Wade's a good chance to be back and firing by the latter stages of 2012, just in time to snag another two years at the Tigers.

No seriously, he is a good buy, we have struggled at the back since Hogo departed, okay he lost some zip but isnt it nice to have a no1 who can catch, tackle and read the game. This hammy thing will be okay either this week or next

McKinnon has a dickie hamstring.

I admit to being a little worried about this as well. Still it cant have helped for him to be playing park footy one week then dropped straight into the fulltime squad for us the next. I'd rather rest him for another week & have him right for the finals, then rush him back for Saturday night & do more damage. It must have been a bit of a shock to the body. Im hopefull that with the correct management & a full pre-season of training & conditioning we will get a good 2 years out of him.

The reason i am calling him a dud is not based on his performances but on his constant absence due to injury. I cant understand how they could have offered him a contract extension this early without at least fully assessing what his long term injury statis will be , not only with pre existing probkems but his overall abilty to handle wear and tear at this stage of his career. While ever you have a player in a key position like fullback out it will cause major disruption to the side.

Aww, Macnaz, you're taking it too seriously. WT are not a professional football club, we are a community organisation, based on charitable and other public relations activities whose fitter members who enjoy training, can play football every now and then in between these other important activites.

WT have a penchant for signing / re-signing injured players on a hunch. More often than not the hunch doesnt work but sometimes it might but I'm having a problem thinking of when it last worked. BUT, I hope it works for McKinnon.

I didn't see Fitzhenry named in NSW Cup does this mean there may be a chance of the fool playing first grade?
