Another Sludge Tribute Thread

[Frenzy.]

With permission from Dread I wish to tell you all of a little initiative I have undertaken in honour of Sludge.

It's along the lines of a personal tribute people can wear down to the games.

We've all seen for awhile the craze with Livestrong bands.

I have ordered a limited number of custom bands which I will offer to forum members at cost price.

If anyone is dubious I will supply the website of the maker of the bands so the price can be checked. I only wanna get my outlay back and help people honour the Great Man

So, for $4.20 you can get one of these when they arrive at my joint. The text to appear on the band is on the blue strip under the band. It includes the old Sharks logo.

Thomo - I ordered 50 to start with. That was the minimum

I will give details of what they cost me in PM but would be poor form to advertise the company and fiscal details here.

I'm putting the names down. I'll let the forum know when I have them and then get addresses from people in email and snail mail them or arrange some form of delivery

I will NOT be setting up Paypal or anything like that. It'll be a trust thing.

I reckon they'll look good on everyone's wrist down on Beer Hill or with the army whatever.

Coolum - yes. It's a standing order so if I happen to get through them all more can be ordered

HOWEVER folks. After a talk with a wise man I actually felt that the use of Sludge didn't show the respect the band could of. So being as it's my "baby" :lol: I have contacted the manufacturer and changed the band to this.

The Steve Rogers 1954 - 2006 will be on the "front"

that is even better frenz. Is it worthwhile charging a bit more for them and making some small profit to donate the sales to a cause such as 'mental health org' or 'cancer foundation (in keeping with sludges efforts for that cause)?

Just a consideration because usually such bands are used to aid worthy organisations and I wouldnt mind paying more for the cause.

I dont mind either way just tossing up the idea..others might disagree

I don't wanna go there at this stage Jet. I'm happy just do be doing it for me actually. But you can't order just 1 :lol: So I went the minimum and am happy to have interested people get the others off me at cost - in beer or money :lol:
