Looking forward to Tricky linking up with W.K down the track. Hypothetical….. if Moyza goes down for a month would we see Tricky…..Tracey or god forbid Chad take the reins?

We wont see chad again in first grade.
Moyza. SJ. Trindall. Metcalf.
They could all go over a cliff in a bus and chad wont get recalled.
He is now a cowboy mentally and physically.
We cant have him come in and do his usual shite nor can we have him come in and god forbid play the house down.
Players who leave to go to another club arent given a send-off like a retiring one.

I don't really think he's being groomed as a middle to be honest. I think this is all about making sure he gets game time, builds endurance at NRL level and creates another "next man up"

I think he'll play left edge. In lieu of W Graham. Has the skills and size to assume that role.
I hope you are right . Is he really good enough to replace Wade Graham ?

He's good enough without being as good as Wade at his peak which we haven't seen for 2 years anyway IMO. It's now about the new regime unlocking the potential of all these snorkels. Imagine if they can unlock Nikora and get him back to what he was doing in his rookie year.

A Wade Graham can very, very rarely be replaced with a clone. Like for like is best.

He's just getting game time and experience. Even out of position getting this game time is probably better than playing for the Jets.

I'm curious what happens when Katoa is back. Either Tracey goes to centre which will mean no Chambers/Ramien or 14, which will mean no Trindall

Opinion (Sam?) on the Sharkcast was that Connor Tracey would eventually play centre.

I wonder about this to be honest. I wouldn’t think Fitz with his defensive mindset sees him as a pillar on one side. Will be interesting to see who else is coming to resolve this issue.

Yeah - that’s why I made a point of stating that it was someone else’s opinion…

I like Ramien and Chambers because of their strength.

The question is: Is Katoa a better winger than Tracey? I don’t know…

Without doubt he is. I reckon Tracey is a retain due to his versatility. Can literally have a go at 1-7

I'm not sure if Katoa is a Fitz type player. Some aspects are but Sione can be erratic.

Katoa is better bringing it out of trouble because he's bigger. I suspect Tracey is faster. Plus other stuff. Keep Tracey away from fullback and he has less errors in him and hasn't shown he has a brainsnap in him.

Yes, it's good. The competition is heating up already. That's something the side needs.

He might, eventually. But eventually could be in 2023 HAHAHA

We have a load of centres if they all stay. Jensen, Jackson, Jonah - all the Js. Jonah will be a gun.

I think that started from when Riccio was on and that was the mail he was getting. So potentially more than opinion based.

Yes but, that was then and this is now. As the great InnerTuber reefy once said, "information is always in flux"

I think Katoa's defence has come along in leaps and bounds actually. Watch him carefully and he is always screaming to his inside man and pointing to his opposites when a raid is on.
I think he is more switched on out there in D than Ronnie to be honest.
I was dead against him in the team and thought he had no idea, but now I quite enjoy watching him play.

We've been missing Katoa I think.. he and Ronnie kept us in a lot of games just through finishing. I've come to like Tracey after going off him after the 2020 final and his trial at fullback...but much of that angst was around people suggesting he should play #1 ahead of Kennedy which was (and has proven to be) insane.... but while Tracey can plug a hole on the wing, there's some fundamental stuff in the carries, returns and finishes that Katoa and Mulitalo both have that Tracey is approximating (pretty well though considering!)

Dunno what Fitz' plans are for Tracey, but he's in a tough spot between his enthusiasm and energy being useful anywhere in the 17, and not being a perfect choice anywhere on the park. My pea brain just wants him to add some bulk and prepare to train up as a specialist 6 with some time at 14... but I think he floats around the park a bit in 2022 and acts as injury cover so the team's continuity doesn't get disrupted.

Katoa has played twice for Jets, and has another week off (bye week) - so you’d imagine he gets picked for the Broncos game.

Tracey to 14 and Trindall to 18…

Personally I think Chambers is shit, might have experience and all but Katoa in, Connor to centres Chambers to jets
Closer to the truth.

Theres an almost daily selection suggestion in here that sees Tracey moved to the bench.
Tracey will be a permanent in the starting side going forward into '22 unless injured.
