Anthony Mundine & Willie Mason... Do we really need them

Are the Roosters playing that badly at the moment that we really need the services of Anthony Mundine or Willie Mason?

Mason has been seen recently having friendly chats with Ricky Stuart and some senior players

Danny Weidler said on TV the other night that his money is on the Roosters picking up Mundine (for match payments only)

Looks like both will be available in June

Do we need them though?

I'd be interested to hear what our fans think of this situation

Firstly, Mason won't be available in June, he'll be available to sign in June but will finish the year out at the Dogs.
Secondly, who listens to Danny Weidler. The only things I've heard come out of the club are that we aren't interested. My money's on Souths picking up Mundane.

I'm divided on Mason. He'd fit in OK (how weird would it be to see him in a Roosters jersey), but it'd have to be on the proviso that we are losing a player or two that are worth a bit. I'm a bit worried about how much he'd command, and I think I'd rather see us spread that money across a couple of players.

i just dont know what to say on mason,

but i am quite confident and it is sad that chris flannery will be leaving us, i think however he deserves to be in his favoured position second row starting every week and not be moved around and benched as he is for the roosters, cayless is also one who may move to new territory. His from this year warrants a big contract raise and i doubt roosters will be able to afford. Ricketson will retire so we are looking at 3 biggish names coming off contract. Enough money to sign mason? I think so. 3 for 1 is it worth it in terms of depth?

i am confident in the roosters management to figure that one out

I would much rather have Willie than Mundine.

Willie at least is capable of being a team player, something the "man" deffinately isn't, and I'm not sure the club could handle his ego.

Mundine has stated that the club he'll sign with must fit into HIS schedule and not vice versa.... how's THAT for an ego?

The newest rumour is that he's going to the Eels anyway

Good news. I've worked out what's going on. It's so obvious now. Mundine has stated that his "first priority is a premiership." Now, it appears that we are no hopers for a premiership. I reckon that the boys are playing sh!t on purpose because they don't want Mundane in the team. They figure if we look like no hopers then he'll go elsewhere.

What will happen is that Mundane will sign with someone else (hopefully Warriors so he can get out of the country altogether) and as soon as that happens, the boys will come good.

OK, maybe not, but I hope our poor form will at least keep "The Wanker" away.

agreed - team harmony is much more important than talent... no one would put his body on the line for a dickhead

In the Grand finals the Roosters have played.

Finch , Walker and MINICHELLO have been by far the worst players on the field in the most critical part of the game.

They are not big match footballers.

Mini, you have to play him, he goes very well all year, only to make 4 mistakes per Grand final.

Same number of mistakes from the other 2 as well.

I don't think your guys will have that problem this season though.
