On news here last night, It said that Smith has had 3 offers, and that he's only considering one possible move and that was to Canberra.
Judging from his performances before he got old, if we'd of made a move for him when he was a little younger, and more talented I wouldn't be complaining.
But Elliott, your desperate mate....

I honestly hope he comes here.

I know he's injury prone, but if he does get injured, at least that means Carney would get a go.

I would much rather buy a veteran like him than someone with a long-term contract like Thurston, IMO.

I can see where you coming from there.

Judging from when I've actually seen him play over here for Hull, he's not been that bad a player.
But saying the bit about him been injury prone, when he get's injured he's not out just for a short space of time, but it takes months for this guy to pick up his fitness.

So we'd be paying a player to play about 2 matches :lol: and even though Elliott doesn't want Carney to pick up a full time first team spot he'd still be playing first team footy probably more than half a season.

Latest reports are that Smith is concerned with the length of the contract. Apparently he wants 2 years, but the Raiders only want to sign him for 1.
